Advocacy Day 2019
April 8 @ 8:30 am - 1:30 pmFREE
Join us for Awareness Day 2019, a day of informing our elected officials of the needs we have in the bleeding disorders community. We’ll be meeting with legislators to educate them about bleeding disorders and the bills in the legislature that have an impact on those who live with bleeding disorders. Check in at 8:30 to pick up materials and information for the rest of the day.
We will have a dinner and training day on April 7, where we will prepare to visit our legislators. Anyone interested in advocating for bleeding disorders is welcome. This will be located at the Grand Hotel Board Room in Salem, located at 201 Liberty St. SE. If you come for the dinner and training and live more than 30 minutes away, HFO will pay for an overnight stay in the Grand Hotel on Sunday evening so you wake up fresh and ready to go straight to the Capitol the next day. Registration for the dinner and training, and overnight at the Grand Hotel is required by March 17th.
Registration for the day at the capitol including appointments with your elected officials is required by March 24th. Registration for the day at the capitol without appointments with your elected officials is required by April 5th. Parking passes are available upon request.
