PEAK Teen Program
PEAK Teen Program
The PEAK Teen Program is PNWBD’s nationally recognized teen group. Teens in the bleeding disorders community between the ages of 14 and 20 are invited to participate in 4-5 programs a year. These usually consist of:
- A weekend in Salem alongside Advocacy Day at the capitol.
- The national YETI Conference, which teaches other states about running a teen program.
- A summer program. Previous events have been camping at the coast, staying at OSU-Cascades in Bend, and visiting Southern Oregon University in Ashland.
- A weekend in Portland alongside PNWBD’s Annual Meeting
- Some years, we host a one-night program in December. We have previously stayed at Camp Tapawingo and learned how to cook.
September 19th: Unite Walk Virtual Teen Program
If you are between the ages of 14 and 21, join us for a fun virtual PEAK Teen Program on September 19th! The morning will be spent assisting with the fun activities associated with this year’s Virtual Unite Walk. Each teen will be asked to order food to be delivered to their house and PNWBD will reimburse them. The afternoon will be fun programming from GutMonkey. You don’t want to miss this fun event!
