About Me

I grew up in and around the Seaside area of the Oregon coast. While attending high school, I spent my free time surfing, wrestling, and playing football. I graduated from Seaside High and moved on to Portland State University where I supported myself through school working the graveyard shift at various produce warehouses. After earning a double major in Economics and Business Administration – Accounting, I secured a job in the downtown office of KPMG and started my career as a CPA in the audit and business consulting profession. I worked in Portland for several years before transferring to the Honolulu office of KPMG where after nearly 5 years with the firm I left to pursue my law degree at the University of Hawaii.

After law school I returned to Portland to obtain my Oregon State Bar license and enter into private practice. I worked diligently in several firms, first as an associate and then as a partner, learning the ins and outs of legal practice from my more experienced colleagues before co-founding Bridge City Law with Scott in September 2010.

Outside of work, I take pleasure in travel and outdoor activities- exploring and experiencing all that the beautiful Northwest has to offer. I enjoy the pursuit of good food and drink- whether dining out in the city or cooking up a meal at home, and always in the company of family and good friends. And above all else, I love my role as a husband and a father.
